New Chef, New Menu: Meet Chantel

We welcome a new Chef de Cuisine! Introducing Chantel Adcock.


Chantel Adcock

The new Chef de Cuisine at FARM Restaurant, in Bloomington, IN, is Chantel Adcock. While Ms. Adcock has been working with Chef D for a while, primarily in the dining room, she has indicated that she would like to transition into the kitchen, which is where her own heart resides. She has been learning the ins and outs of the back of the house from Chef D and managing the kitchen for the past year. Now, she is moving into a new role where she can showcase her creativity and passion for healthy vegan and vegetarian dishes as well as different ethnic cuisines.


Where is Chantel from?

Adcock has spent the last 25 years working in the restaurant service industry. She was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. She enjoys traveling and has visited several places in the US as well as Italy, where she dined her way through Milan, Florence, Rome, and Venice. She has also traveled to Mexico and Japan.


Chantel’s Hobbies

She likes to cook at home, garden, and spend time with her two German Shepherds, Basil and Camile, when she's not working.


Chantel in Her Own Words:

“I have been a board member for the Community Kitchen of Monroe County for 7 years. It is an opportunity to give back to the community in a way that nurtures my passion for feeding people. Food and eating are one of our most basic needs, and when we don’t have enough to eat, it affects every aspect of a person’s life. I have learned from my time in the industry that the staff often know their patrons better than their friends or family.

  • Pan-Seared Tuna Steak (rare) with a French Piperade of Peppers & Tomatoes.
  • Hard Seared Pepper-Crusted NY Strip Steak with Wild Mushrooms, Broccolini and Bourbon. 
  • Bangladeshi Green Tomato, Okra & Tofu Tikki Masala with Basmati Rice. 
  • Baked Santorini Eggplant Stuffed with Parmesan, Tomatoes, Feta, Bell Peppers and served with Tzatziki Sauce & Greek Salad
